Abundant Life Assembly of God – Sharon
Abundant Life Assembly of God – Sharon Posted: Thursday, September 20, 2012 6:00 pm Bro. Bobby Peal opened our service by singing “Gettin’ Ready to Leave This World.” Edna Johle taught from Hebrews 4:14, which tells us Jesus is the believers high priest. Our condolences went out to Patsy Baker’s family whose mother, Margaret Frazier, went to be with the Lord. We welcomed Shirley Keen to our service and we sang “Happy Birthday” to Ashlyn Hagye. Hunter and Ashlyn helped lead “He’s a Big God” and “I Will Enter His Gates.” Mary led “Love Lifted Me” and “Joy Unspeakable.” Martha Kotarba sang “The King is Coming.” Bro. Bobby sang “I’ve Been Changed.” Harvey Dildine sang “I Call It Home.” Bro. Bobby turned to 1 Timothy 4:1 and titled his message “The Spirit Speaks.” There are so many false doctrines around today, but Jesus said my sheep shall know my voice; therefore, we should read our Bibles and listen for the voice of God. There are things Christians should receive or not, the choice is ours. We have to decide to live in despair or joy,; to walk in fear; or in faith; to dwell under the shadow of the almighty or reside in open spaces of self-effort. Bro. Bobby announced the forthcoming wedding of Sherry Harris and Scott Fisher on Saturday at 1 p.m. Bro. Bobby opened our evening service with prayer and Mary led “It Is Mine,” “Whosoever Meaneth Me” and “A New Name on Glory.” Mary sang a special “When He Was on the Cross.” Patsy Baker sang “Please Forgive Me.” Bro. Bobby preached from Psalms 8:1-9 and Ephesians 2:1-8. We made our prayer circle at the altar and prayed for the needs before we dismissed.
