The Union City School System has announced the following lunch menus for Sept. 24-28:
Union City High School
Monday, Sept. 24 — Baked chicken nuggets or baked ham with whole wheat roll, mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed carrots, fresh apple, canned peaches and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Tuesday, Sept. 25 — Barbecue pork or turkey hot dog and chili with whole grain bun, baked beans, turnip greens, fresh orange, canned applesauce and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Wednesday, Sept. 26 — Meat loaf or tuna salad with whole wheat roll, baked potato, fresh salad cup, fresh grapes, canned pears and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Thursday, Sept. 27 — Sausage pizza or soy butter and jelly with whole grain bread, steamed broccoli, whole kernel corn, fresh apple, canned pineapple and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Friday, Sept. 28 — Cheeseburger with whole grain bun or whole grain corndog, French fries, fresh sandwich salad cup, fresh banana, canned mixed fruit and low-fat milk and skim milk.
Note: UCHS offers fresh salad bar options daily.
UC Middle School

Breakfast
Monday, Sept. 24 — Whole grain Pop Tarts with yogurt or whole grain cereal with graham crackers and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Tuesday, Sept. 25 — Pancake stick with syrup or whole grain cereal with whole grain cheese toast and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Wednesday, Sept. 26 — Cheese and egg with whole grain biscuit or whole grain cereal with graham cracker and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Thursday, Sept. 27 — Whole grain cinnamon biscuit or whole grain cereal with cinnamon toast and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Friday, Sept. 28 — Cinnamon waffle or whole grain cereal with graham cracker and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Note: Free breakfast is offered daily to every SFES student.
Lunch
Monday, Sept. 24 — Pepperoni pizza or tuna sandwich with whole wheat bread, romaine salad, cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks with fat-free dip, apple half, sliced peaches and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Tuesday, Sept. 25 — Ribette with whole grain hot dog bun or turkey sandwich with white bread, baked potato wedges, spinach salad, cherry tomatoes, honeydew with blueberries and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Wednesday, Sept. 26 — Chicken nuggets or chicken fried steak, whole grain roll, green beans, mashed potatoes, pineapple tidbits, applesauce and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Thursday, Sept. 27 — Baked ham or turkey roast with gravy, whole grain roll, purple hull peas, sweet potatoes, fresh grapes, mixed fruit and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
Friday, Sept. 28 — Hot dog with whole wheat bun or hamburger with whole wheat bun, baked beans, trimming cup with half-cup romaine lettuce and quarter-cup tomato slices, fresh cantaloupe, fresh banana and low-fat chocolate milk, white milk or juice.
