The Union City city council will meet Tuesday evening in the courtroom of the Union City Municipal Building for a regular monthly meeting. The session will be preceded by a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. to focus on amending the zoning ordinance of the city to delete and restate provisions governing signs;
Items on the agenda for the regular meeting, which will follow, include:
• second and final reading on an ordinance to amend the zoning ordinance of the city to delete and restate provisions governing signs;
• discussion related to industrial development;
• consideration of a Tennessee Department of Transportation contract related to East Church Street from South Morgan Street to Home Street;
• miscellaneous items and bills.
Visitors will also be recognized for the hearing of grievances and/or complaints.
Public meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month and all sessions are open to the public.
