The Tennessee Hyperbaric Center and Pain Specialist Center will host two free seminars in the upcoming weeks.
On Tuesday, a seminar on concussion and brain injury will be held at 6 p.m at the Tennessee Hyperbaric Center. Wanda Baker, a trainer for Project BRAIN, will speak. Project BRAIN is a resource and training network for educators, families and health professionals who support students in Tennessee with traumatic brain injury.
Medical director Dr. Roy Schmidt will speak and answer questions from attendees, also, particularly about hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). HBOT is the only non-hormonal treatment approved by the FDA for biologically repairing and regenerating human tissue.
A second seminar on managing chronic pain will be held on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Pain Specialist Center. Individuals who have sought treatments for chronic pain will share their experiences, and Dr. Schmidt will speak and answer questions. Refreshments will be provided.
Both seminars will be held at the Tennessee Hyperbaric Center/Pain Specialist Center, located at 15 Stonebridge Blvd. in Jackson.
