On Sunday morning, Ryan Doughty opened our services by leading “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.” Bro. Robert Pogue read from Revelations 8: 1-2. Bro. Bobby Doughty led our opening prayer. Scott Walker was our Sunday school teacher, Our lesson was titled “High Expectations” from Matthew 5:17-19. “As a Christian we are not perfect or sinless – God expects us to do our best and live for Him.” Chris Cashion led our closing prayer and blessed the preaching hour.
Our first song was “The Lily of the Valley.” Bro. Billy came and welcomed everyone and asked for prayers.
Our ushers Seth Fulcher and Hunter Doughty came for our offering. Seth led the prayer. Our next song was “Life’s Railway to Heaven.” We sang “Happy Birthday” to Wanda Fagan.
We sang “America the Beautiful” to remember all those who died on Sept. 11, 2001. The youth sang “Heaven Came Down.” What a blessing, as always. Mrs. Barbara Castleman sang “How Far is the East to the West?” What an “amen” morning. Our song leader and piano player came for our invitational song “Softly and Tenderly.” Bro. Chris Cashion led our closing prayer and sent us to our homes until we met again.
