Completed arrangements are being announced for Sonja (Carey) Cochran, 57, of Hornbeak, who died Sept. 7, 2012, at her home.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Gary Arnett officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Saturday.
She was born July 20, 1955, in Tennessee, daughter of the late James and Opal (Harod) Carey.
She married Johnnie Cochran July 4, 1997. He died Nov. 13, 2010. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Shayne Gibson of Samburg and James Chad Mayo of Rives; three grandchildren, Blake Mayo of Martin and Tyler Mayo and Gibson Cole Mayo, both of Rives; her sister, Deborah Forsythe of Hawaii; two stepchildren, Gina (Cochran) Adkins of Union City and John Cochran of Ridgely; five step-grandchildren, John Ayden Cochran and Jack Christopher Cochran, both of Ridgely, and Jayden Adkins, Macie Adkins and Hailey Adkins, all of Union City; and several nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shelia Carey.
