The Children’s Museum of Memphis has two special events planned for October.
Attendees will learn about the important contributions that Hispanic Heroes have made to the fields of science, education, politics, arts and sports in America on Oct. 6 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
They can create mosaics and hear stories about Hispanic culture from Latin storytellers. They can also make their own colorful maracas to play in the fiesta with mariachi music and authentic Latin dancers.
The third annual Monster Bash will be held Oct. 31 from 2-4 p.m.
Participants can enjoy lots of spooky crafts and goopy experiments and take part in a special “Costumes on Parade” fashion show. Child-friendly costumes should be worn. Every participant will win a prize.
A special Monster Bash Goodie Basket drawing will be held and the whole family can play a little beastly movie trivia. Special exhibit areas for treats without the tricks will be available.
Activities are free with museum admission.
