Ailene Damron Bynum

Ailene Damron Bynum, age 82, of Nashville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Heritage Chapel – First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation with the family will be held today (Tuesday) from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Campground Cemetery, Martin with Rev. Richard Egnor and Dr. Kevin Ulmet officiating. With Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel in Nashville in charge of the arrangement.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are member of the Pate Sunday school class, Dr. William T. Slonecker and Dr. David W. Allen.
Born Jan. 17, 1930 in Martin, she was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Linnie Osteen Damron, brother, Walter Louis Damron, husband of 60 years, Edward J. Bynum and daughter, Edwynna L. Bynum.
Mrs. Bynum was a retired seamstress where she made beautiful wedding and bridesmaid dresses before starting her own catering business. She catered wedding receptions. rehearsal dinners and wedding anniversaries for over 25 years. She was a long-time member of First Church of the Nazarene, Pate Sunday school class, Kitamura Missionary Society and former choir member.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Dudley) Koy of Katy, Texas, David (Chigger) Bynum of Brentwood and Andrae Bynum; grandchildren, Miranda Bynum, Jason (Gabrielle) Koy, Courtney (Kirsten) Bynum and Megan Bynum; great-grandchildren, Samantha Bynum, Lily Bynum, Jack Bynum, Ashlyn Koy and Landon Koy; sister-in-law, Angie Damron of Martin; nephew, Steve Damron and family of Stillwater, Okla.; niece, Dawne Damron-Belote and family of Martin; cousins, Jean Inman of Franklin and Carla Hendershot Bivens of Brentwood;
A special thanks to her loving caregivers Ann Esaw, Danae Robins and Gretchen Hauck.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Church of the Nazarene or Alive Hospice Nashville.
