To the Editor,
Historically, the American people do not elect businessmen to be president – Henry Ford, William Randolph Hearst, Ross Perot and Herman Cain.
Mitt Romney, as governor of Massachusetts, focused on: 1. Public mandated health care; 2. Gun control; 3. Abortion rights.
Paul Ryan, as chairman of the House Budget Committee, cut benefits for the poor and middle class. He did not cut any benefits for the wealthy. We have a global economy. There is not a whole lot a president can do about the economy of our nation now, be he a Democrat or Republican.
However, without President Obama’s stimulus, the unemployment rate in our country would be twice what it is today.
The Romney/Ryan ticket has less foreign policy experience than any ticket since the Tom Dewey and Earl Warren ticket in the 1940s.
