On August 22, our services opened with our song leader, Seth Fulcher, leading “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.” Bro. Robert Pogue led our opening prayer. Our next song was “Heaven Came Down,” followed by our youth singing “Love Lifted Me.” Bro. Billy came for prayers. His message was from James 4:1-3, titled “Hold on Fast to God!” He prayed and blessed the service. Bro. Robert Pogue led our closing prayer and sent us to our homes until we met again.

On Sunday, we opened our morning service singing “Heavenly Sunlight.” Bro. Robert Pogue read from Revelations 6: 9-10. Bro. Gerald Wilkerson led our prayer and blessed the Sunday school. Bro. Bobby Doughty taught our lesson, titled “Persevere in Obedience” taken from Jeremiah 37:11-17. “God is with us when things are good and when things are bad. Don’t ever give up.” Bro Chris Cashion led our closing prayer and blessed the preaching hour.

Our first song was “Glory to His Name.” Bro. Bobby Doughty had our announcements and prayer requests. Our ushers, Scott Stokes and Chris Cashion, came for our offering.  Scott blessed the offering. Our next song was “At the Cross,” followed by “Amazing Grace.” Sue and Lily Wilkerson sang “Somebody Touched Me.”

Bro. Billy was away at revival, so Bro. Joe Williamson was our visiting pastor. His message was from Romans 12:1-3, titled “The Blessings We Get from the Lord Are Many.” Our song leader and piano player came forward for our invitational song “Softly and Tenderly.” Bro. Gerald Wilkerson led our closing prayer and sent us to our homes until we met again.

That evening, we started with prayer requests. Bro. Jacky Alford led our opening prayer.  We sang “Take My Hand Precious Lord” and “Send the Light,” followed by “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

Bro. Joe Williamson came for the message, which was taken from Jeremiah 1: 1-9 titled “Wonderful, Powerful Sermon.” Our invitational song was “Just As I Am.” Bro. Bobby Doughty led us in prayer and closed our services until we meet again.
