Kizer joins Commercial Bank

Commercial Bank and Trust has announced the addition of a vice president in the bank’s Union City operations. Jody Kizer, formerly regional president and senior loan officer of First Citizen’s National Bank, has joined Commercial Bank and Trust with a focus on commercial lending.  
“We are thrilled to bring to our team someone with Jody’s experience and knowledge. There is no doubt he brings a level of personal service and integrity that fits in with the principles of Commercial Bank and Trust,” Commercial Bank and Trust President Tim Shanks said.
Kizer has 15 years of banking experience holding positions from credit analyst to bank manager to bank president. He received his bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and finance from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He continued his education through Owen Graduate School – Vanderbilt University.  
“I am very excited to join Commercial Bank and Trust and to be a part of a company that has such a solid reputation in the community,” Kizer said. “I’ve known many of the staff my whole life and I know I am joining a family who cares about the community and the people they serve.  With my background in financial services and their philosophy of providing the resources one needs to best serve their customers, I know I have found a great match for a positive relationship.”
Kizer is actively involved in the West Tennessee area, serving as the chairman of the Union City Housing Authority and he is a member of the Union City Rotary Club. He has also served in the past as president of the Obion County Chamber of Commerce, Main Street of Union City Inc., United Way of Obion County and Obion County Distinguished Speakers Foundation. He has also served the community through his service with the Obion County Joint Economic Development Council, Union City Jaycees and the Obion County Fair Association.
Kizer and his wife of 17 years, Tracey, have two children, Emily and Pierce. She is a nurse practitioner at Martin Medical Center.
Commercial Bank and Trust was chartered in 1877. The bank has operations in Memphis, Paris, Union City and Jackson. Mott Ford serves as the chief executive officer. In Union City, the bank has offices at 127 South First St. and 815 East Reelfoot Ave.
