Bro. Bobby Peal opened our service singing “The Lily of the Valley.”

In Sis. Edna Johle’s absence, Melba Carson taught from Romans 2:2, which says, “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. That ye may prove what is good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We sang “Happy Birthday” to Kenneth Sisk.

Katelyn Gearin and Mason Petty helped lead “He’s a Big God” and “Glory Glory.” Mary led “Just Over in the Glory Land” and “Everybody Will Be Happy Over There.”

Prayer requests were made and prayed over.

We welcomed two new members into our flock, Sally Copeland and Mae Crews, with hugs and handshakes.

Patsy Baker sang “I’d Rather Have Jesus.” Melba Carson and Mary Jones harmonized to “Master of the Wind.” Bro. Lainhart sang “Where Would I Go?”

Bro. Bobby turned to II Kings 2:19 for his message. This is the truth, this is the light and this is the way. The Lord knows the intent of our heart before we ask. Be sure in whom you put your trust; you can never go wrong with Jesus.

Bro. Bobby opened our evening service singing “Someday.” Mary led “It Is Mine,” “As the Deer Panteth for the Water” and “Praise Him, Praise Him.” Mary sang “Consider the Lilies.”

Bro. Bobby turned to Romans 13:12, cast off the work of darkness and let us put on the armor of light, as Jesus is the light of the world. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

We again made a circle at the altar to pray for the needs of the church and nation.
