James Thomas Clemons, 73, of Union City, died Aug. 21, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City, with Dan Huggins officiating.
Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Gordon Fox, Phillip Kee, John Mack Long, Jimmy Brooks, Jeremy Brooks and Ricky Glisson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Reynolds Brothers Tire Co. employees.
He was born May 18, 1939, in Obion County, son of the late John William “Will” and Bertha (Perry) Clemons. He married Imogene Horton April 14, 1960. She survives. He was an auto mechanic who had worked at the former M&H Garage and drove a truck for the former Kinkead for 13 years. He was a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Jimmy Brooks of Rives; his son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Arlene Clemons of Martin; three grandsons, Jeremy Brooks of Rives, Josh Brooks of Memphis and Anthony Cathey of Martin; seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Mildred Ann White of Advance, Mo.; his brother, Robert Clemons and his wife, Rita, of Union City; his niece, Angie Clemons of Union City; and his nephew, Russell Clemons of Hickman, Ky.
He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Del White.
