Bobby Gene Swift

Bobby Gene Swift, 55, of Martin, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012 at VanAyer Manor Nursing Home in Martin.
Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 9, 2012 at Bible Union Cemetery, Martin with Murphy Funeral Home of Martin in charge of the arrangements.
Mike Bomar, David Sheridon, Ronald Plunk, Johnny Plunk, Nathan Plunk and Jason Plunk served as pallbearers.
Swift was born May 11, 1957 in East St. Louis, Ill., son of the late Walter Murle and Nellie May Ford Swift. He was a resident of C.D.S. in Martin. He received an award and his art is displayed in the Frist Art Center in Nashville.
Survivors include two brothers, Curtis (Brenda) Swift and Darrell Lee Swift, both of Benton, Ill.; four sisters, Marie Lawson of Benton, Betty (Bob) Miller of Bloomington, Ind., Mildred (Kenneth) Mezo of North Branch, Mich. and Frankie (Mike) Bomer of Valdosta, Ga.; and special friends, Ronald and Linda Plunk and Family.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Swift and Jimmy Swift; and one sister, Ruby Louvier.
