Convenience store robbery under investigation
The Sunday afternoon robbery of a Union City convenience store remains under investigation by police.
Police responded at 2:28 p.m. to a report of a robbery in progress at Uptown North Convenience Store at 1315 East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Police received a report of the store being robbed by three black men, one of whom allegedly pulled a gun before they left the scene, according to a Union City Police Department report.
No injuries were reported.
Acting Union City Police Chief Perry Barfield said today the incident remains under investigation. Investigators apparently are reviewing video surveillance and no arrests have been made at press time today.
