Santa’s Helpers, a year-round community service organization, located in Dresden, is in immediate need of food or monetary donations to purchase food for the food pantry. In the last few weeks Santa’s Helpers has served more than 200 people.
Items needed include biscuit mix, Save Alot syrup, cornbread mix, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned vegetables (corn, green beans, green peas, carrots, potatoes, etc.), meat products (bologna, sausage, hot dogs, deer meat, etc..), Jello™, Ramen noodles, tuna, pancake mix boxes and pouches, fruit juice, tea, different kinds of drinks, boxed potatoes, rice, cereal, butter, and other items.
Santa’s Helpers is open to the public Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-4 p.m. at 117 North Poplar Street – between China King and the fire station in Dresden. The organization is also planning a benefit yard sale Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. inside the National Guard Armory. There will be clothes, toys, glassware, cooking items and other items.
