Jerry A. Dickson, 69, of Abilene, Kans., died Monday, July 30, 2012.

Memorial services were held Friday in Greenfield with Danner Funeral Home in charge of the local arrangements.

Dickson was born Sept. 17, 1942 in Chicago, Ill., son of Willie D. Capps of Greenfield and the late Lula Mai Capps. He grew up in Greenfield and attended Greenfield High School. He was the widower of Judy Baker Dickson. He was a United States Army veteran with the Big Red One. He had been employed as a glassier by the Kansas Lumber Company in Abilene and then owned his own glass business.

Survivors also include one daughter, Jody Becker of Independence, Mo.; two sons, Jeff Dickson of Shawnee, Kans. and Jon Dickson of Abilene; one sister, Martha Sanders of Greenfield; two brothers, Bobby Capps of Greenfield and Willie Capps of Grain Valley, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
