Three bus batteries have been stolen from a church bus parked at Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City.
Church pastor the Rev. James Kinsey told police Wednesday that someone had taken three heavy-duty truck batteries off the church bus, according to a Union City Police Department report.
There appeared to be a mud flap from a big truck, which did not belong on the bus, lying underneath the vehicle.
The bus was parked on the south side of the building in the parking lot of the church at 205 Sunswept Drive and hadn’t been run in about a month, according to the report.
The value of the batteries was estimated at a combined $240.
