Alice N. (Gager) Rhoades, 75, of Union City died at Jackson Regional Hospital July 31, 2012.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Richard Carruth and Jimmy Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
She was born Sept. 17, 1936, in Oak Park, Ill., daughter of the late William Lloyd and Ruth Mildred (Wingren) Gager. She married H.L. Rhoades Dec. 31, 1983. He died May 9, 2000. She was a member of Mt. Manuel United Methodist Church near Union City.
Survivors include two daughters, Doreen Groeneveld of Troy and Victoria Johnson of Union City; two sons, J.R. Groeneveld of Union City and Alan Groeneveld of Troy; her stepdaughter, Janet Williams of Kailua, Hawaii; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George David Gager of Mundelein, Ill., and William P. Gager of Oklahoma City; her sister, Kathryn Wroe of Plymouth, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Lloyd Charles Gager; her daughter, Deborah Bolden; and her son, William Arthur Groeneveld.
