Sybil Lela (Ford) Turner, 84, of Burlison, formerly of Obion County, died July 18, 2012, at Parkway Cove Assisted Living in Covington.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Eddie Dickey officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 9 a.m. until the hour of services on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Rick Stacks, Michael Stacks, Ronnie Tidwell, Alan Tidwell, Tony Isbell and Milton Chandler.
The family requests memorials be made to Tennessee Children’s Home, P.O. Box 10, Spring Hill, TN 37174.
She was born July 18, 1928, in Obion County, daughter of the late Horace Duncan and Lola (Walker) Ford. She married Jean Luther Turner Dec. 27, 1947. He died Feb. 14, 1958. She was a homemaker and a member of Elm Grove Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Jean and Rudy Coats of Burlison; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Maloan and Debi Turner of Elizabethtown, Ky.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, June Tidwell of Rives, Jean Dickerson of Birmingham, Ala., Elizabeth Isbell of Midway community and Judy Shaw of Union City; her brother, Bobby Ford of Montgomery, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Charles Maloan Turner.
