Billy Joe Morse, 74, of Union City went to be home with the Lord July 16, 2012. He was dead on arrival at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.T. Brown officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul Farmer.
Burial will follow at Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The family requests memorials be made to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City TN 38281.
He was born March 8, 1938, in Princeton, Ky., son of the late Irene Harper Morse. He married Juanita Davis Morse April 13, 1957. She survives. He was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where he worked approximately 30 years. He was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God.
He is also survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Pat McPherson of Chiliecothe, Ill.; Donna and Terry Neil of Kenton, Sharon and Mickey Beck of Clinton, Ky., and Connie and Bobby Minnick of Troy; his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Rita Shumaker of Rutherford; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his sister Delores Trusty of Princeton and three nephews.
