The following cases were disposed of July 9-13 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed, unless dismissal is contingent upon costs being paid or other conditions. All others are published, including judicial diversions and deferred cases, without exception.
• Alex Pittinger — burglary, guilty of a lesser charge of vandalism (up to $500); theft of property ($500-$1,000), guilty of a lesser charge of theft (up to $500); and theft of property ($10,000-$60,000), guilty of a lesser charge of joyriding/unauthorized use of auto.
• Timmy C. Smith — two counts of Schedule II controlled substance, guilty of two lesser charges of simple possession/casual exchange.
• Steven E. Williams — rape, bound over to the grand jury.
• James A. Cottrell — resisting a stop, arrest or search, deferred.
• Sharnesha Henry — vandalism (up to $500), deferred.
• Anthony Paugh — harassment, deferred.
• Ryan A. Tucker — underage consumption, deferred.
• Brian K. Clanton — driving while license suspended (second or subsequent), guilty as charged.
• Benjamin Guerrero — purchasing of alcoholic beverages for a child, guilty as charged.
• Richard C. Kidd — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Jeffrey D. Lang — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Tina M. Molands — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Monica Southerland — driving under the influence (first offense), guilty as charged.
• Shirley Vestal — public intoxication, guilty as charged.
• Amanda White — financial responsibility law violation, guilty as charged.
• Tara L. Coleman — three counts of forgery, one count of theft of property ($1,000-$10,000) and one count of theft (up to $500), waived to the grand jury.
• Harvey A. Donlow — four counts of forgery and one count of theft (up to $500), waived to the grand jury.
• Charles J. Liphford — 19 counts of forgery, waived to the grand jury.
• Clayton R. Roberson — theft (up to $500), waived to the grand jury.
• Jerry Sherrill II — theft of property ($1,000-$10,000), waived to the grand jury.
• Jerry Still — theft of property ($500-$1,000), waived to the grand jury.
• Shannon L. Bledsoe — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Garrett J. Crume — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Rhonda J. Gray — child restraint (under 4), guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
