At the college level Posted: Wednesday, July 18, 2012 6:00 pm The Messenger 07.18.12 Five Obion County students have been awarded scholarships for the 2012-13 academic year to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin. The recipients include: • Jessica Baker of South Fulton, daughter of Bobby and Tina Baker, who will be a junior. She received the UT Martin Transfer Scholarship. • Denise Bell of Union City, daughter of Willie and Mary Bell, who will be a senior. She received the Fred and Marie Colvett Family and Consumer Sciences Scholarship. • Thomas Elam of Hornbeak, son of Amanda Hamm and Tom Elam, who will be a freshman. He received the Dean’s Scholarship. • Brittany Lyell of Rives, daughter of Barry and Sharron Lyell, who will be a junior. She received the Rehabilitation Corporation Scholarship. • Holly McClanahan of South Fulton, daughter of Mike and Barbara McClanahan, who will be a senior. She received the Robert G. and Elizabeth Latimer Scholarship. |
