Mrs. Monette Jacobs Turner, 95, of Martin died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Martin Health Care.
Services were held at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Martin with Rev. Ben Lownesdale officiated. Burial was in Alamo Cemetery, Sharon.
Mark Fagan, Drew Fagan, Jamison Turner, Tyler Turner, Jon Hahn, J. C. Hahn and Larry Coleman served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Turner was born Sept. 24, 1916, in Dyer County, daughter of the late Jodie M. and Myrtle Drane Keathley Jacobs. She was the widow of James Thomas Turner, a homemaker and member of Mt. Pelia Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Keath (Kim) Turner of Martin; two daughters, Nola (Larry) Coleman and Shelia Turner, both of Martin; three sisters, Joy Stephens, Sarah Hazlewood and Durell Royster, all of Martin; six grandchildren, Laura (Jon) Hahn, Lisa (Mark) Fagan, Jodie (Hubert) Morrison, Kimberly (Rodney) Smith, Jamison (Jada) Turner and Tyler Turner; and nine great-grandchildren, J. C. Hahn, Kathryn Hahn, Drew Fagan, Mackenzie Morrison, Caleb Morrison, Grace Morrison, Lydia Morrison, Isabella Smith and Sierra Smith.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, J. B. Jacobs, Floyd Jacobs and Billy Wayne Jacobs; one sister, Modean Collier; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Fagan.
