Edith Viola (Adkison) Herman, 90, of Union City died July 12, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
Graveside services will be held at noon Saturday at East View Cemetery, with Dr. Cecil Sewell officiating.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until the service hour at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Randy Hansbrough, Kevin Little, Steve Speed and Rodney Speed.
The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church in Union City.
She was born June 24, 1922, in Obion County, daughter of the late George and Edith (Thompson) Adkison. She married Vernon Herman July 18, 1939. He died in 1973. She worked at the former youth center in Union City and at Lucy’s Shoe Store. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Faye and Barry Little of Newbern, Dianne and Roger Speed of Union City and Sue Hansbrough of Nesbit, Miss; six grandchildren, Randy Hansbrough of Senatobia, Miss., Renee Postelle of Nesbit, Kevin Little of Bartlett, Leigh Ann Little of Atlanta, Steve Speed of Memphis and Rodney Speed of Union City; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Adkison; and her sister, Margaret (Adkison) Herman.
