Betty Sue (Hammond) Hornsby, 80, of Union City died July 4, 2012, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Kinsey and Dr. Cecil Sewell officiating.
Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Paul Riley, Charles Priest, Craig Johnson, Tommy Miller, William Reece, Kenneth Kemp, Scott Hudgins and Thomas Key.
The family requests memorials be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
She was born Oct. 30, 1931, in Union City, daughter of the late Wesley Naul and Beatrice (Harpole) Hammond. She married Albert Erwin Hornsby Jan. 21, 1959. He died March 4, 2010. She was the former owner and operator of Hornsby Garage and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Roger Hornsby and Terry Hornsby, both of Union City; three brothers, James Carl Hammond and Joe Hammond, both of Union City, and Tommy Hammond of Puryear; and several nieces and nephews.
