Local man charged in apparent theft spree

Recovered items reported stolen last week have led to the arrest of 30-year-old Jeremy Jones of Martin.
According to incident reports issued by the Martin police Department, officers recovered a trailer apparently stolen Thursday from a home on Fonville Street in Martin.
The trailer, valued at $500, was found at 205 Fonville Street. Officers later that day, also recovered from that same location, a shop light, two air hoses and an air compressor that had been reported stolen.
In a third incident, officers took a report of stolen items from a vehicle that same day. Items allegedly taken included a laptop, laptop bag and power cord, valued at more than $1,000.
Jones was arrested for his alleged connection with the three incidents. He faces two charges of burglary from a motor vehicle, evading arrest and theft of property.
