Four charged in county thefts

Four people face numerous charges of theft in connection with alleged crimes committed at the home of the late Oren Willis, according to a press release issued by the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department.
Willis’ home was located on Wesley Chapel Road between Dresden and Palmersville.
Willis died in May after an exchange of gunfire north of Palmersville. Two weeks after his death, people handling his estate reported to the WCSD items had been taken from his home and several outbuildings. Items reported stolen included Western wear, belt buckles, scrap metal, an 8-foot trailer and other items. According to the press release, a portion of the apparent thefts were videotaped until the alleged perpetrators destroyed cameras placed around Willis’ property. Investigators reported many of the stolen items have been recovered.
Charged in the incident were 23-year-old Cameron Dale Kirby of Wolf Creek Road in South Fulton; 22-year-old Christina Kay Barner of Wolf Creek Road in South Fulton; 22-year-old Bradley Horner of Main Street in Bradford and 21-year-old Candice Michelle Kirby of Highway 118 in Dresden.
They each face charges of aggravate burglary, burglary, theft over $1,000, and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.
Cameron Kirby and Barner face additional charges for their alleged connection with the theft of property at a home on Hamm Road outside of Martin, which was quarantined for a an active meth lab earlier this year.
According to a press release issued by the WCSD, Kirby and Barner also face additional charges of aggravated burglary, theft over $1,000, violation of the Tennessee Meth Quarantine Act and conspiracy to violate the Tennessee Meth Quarantine Act.
Investigators claim the couple went into the home after it had been cleaned, but quarantined by the sheriff’s department and took everything from the home, located at 200 Hamm Road outside of Martin.
The release cited 23-year-old Christopher Payne, who was arrested in connection with the meth lab bust earlier this year at the property, communicated with the pair about getting items from the house.
Payne also faces a charge of conspiracy in connection with the apparent theft.
