For the second consecutive year, Martin’s Scott Carpenter finished second in the championship flight of the annual Ken-Tenn Invitational at the Fulton Country Club.
Carpenter, a volunteer assistant coach for his father, Jerry, with the UT Martin team, ended up three strokes behind Brandon Caballero who fashioned a 131 in the two-day event.
Carpenter tied with Kenton’s Jeff Chandler for second in the top flight, but was awarded the spot via a scorecared playoff.
Several other local linksters participated in the tourney, which drew 148 total participants.
