GOODE HONORED – Bobby Goode of Dresden (left), USDA Rural Development State Director for Tennessee, was presented the “Jimmy Daniel Make-A-Difference Alumni Award” during UT Martin’s WestStar Leadership Program graduation, June 7, at the Jackson Country Club. The award is named for the late Jimmy Daniel, field representative for Tennessee Gov. Don Sundquist and a member of WestStar’s first graduating class in 1990. Individuals selected must have a strong record of leadership during the past five years in West Tennessee and be active participants in WestStar and regular leadership programs. Presenting the award to Goode, a 2007 WestStar graduate, is Peggy Daniel of Selmer, wife of the late Jimmy Daniel. Also pictured is Charley Deal, WestStar executive director and assistant vice chancellor for alumni relations.
