Lakewood gymnasts named champions

Seven power tumblers of Lakewood Gymnastics in Martin recently competed in their state meet, held in Clarksville.
All seven tumblers came home as state champions.
Not only was this their first state meet, but also the first season that Lakewood has started this competitive team sport. There are three events for each tumbler to compete.
The three events are tumbling, which is an 80-foot rod floor, double mini trampoline and trampoline.
All seven children competed in their separate age division and levels.
Shelby Bell led the way by becoming a state champion in all three events. Abby Eubank won trampoline and double mini.
Chloe Tackett won tumbling and double mini.
Sydney Pate won tumbling and trampoline.
Kaigan Davis won tumbling and double mini. Molly Boucher won tumbling. Jaycelyn Jones won the double mini.
The team is coached by Ed Eubank, along with his daughter, Mercee, and Jolina Gurien.
