Thelma Belle (Chappel) Williams, 81, of Union City died June 6, 2012, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Sanders Chapel Cemetery, with Wesley Jackson officiating.
Friends may call 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kim Craig, Chuck Oathout, Lori Berner, Bobby Berner and Blake Berner.
She was born July 4, 1930, in Union City, daughter of the late Wesley and Maggie (Glisson) Chappel. She married James D. Williams Sept. 28, 1946. He died June 17, 2009. She was a homemaker and the oldest founding member of Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maggie and Kim Craig of Newbern; her sister, Frances Goodman of Union City; her granddaughter, Mary Beth Perry of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, James Odell Williams; and three sisters, Beula Zell Webb, Hattie Nell Jackon and Lottie Mae Holloway.
