A 20-year-old shooting victim is in stable condition, according to Martin Police Chief David Moore.
Joshua Price was shot in the back Sunday evening near Lakeview Circle in Martin. He was airlifted by Air Evac Lifeteam to vanderbilt Hospital where he remains in stable condition.
According to the incident report filed by MPD officer Tim Dolack, he was called to the scene of an apparent shooting around 10 that evening. Dolack said in his report, when he arrived, he found Price laying on the ground. The 20-year-old told officers he was shot in the back and couldn’t feel his legs.
A sweep of the intersection of Old Fulton Road and Lakeview Circle led to the discovery of three types of shell casings – two .9mm casings, two 380 shell casings and 10 .22-caliber shell casings.
The incident remains under investigation. The MPD is asking witnesses to come forward or anyone with information regarding the incident to notify the department at 587-5355 or CrimeStoppers at 587-2611.
