Camp session opens as school year ends

School’s out, and that means camps are in session.
The Union City Parks and Recreation 2012 Summer Instructional Program features a wide variety of camps for boys and girls over the next two months.
Beginning next week and running through July 20, the annual program will include 10 camps for boys and girls entering grades 3 through 8.
Camps included in this year’s program will be boys’ and girls’ basketball, baseball, softball, boys weight training and football.
The camps are designed to develop the necessary skills involved in each sport and also provide a wholesome recreation experience, according to the camp program guide.
Each camp will be taught by members of the Union City High School coaching staff.
In case of rain, the baseball and football camps will meet in the UCHS athletic building.
All camps offer free registration.
Entry forms can be picked up at the parks and rec office and mailed to Union City Parks and Recreation at P.O. Box 9, Union City, 38261.
Campers can also register online at www.ucpark.com.
