William Dale Garner Posted: Thursday, May 31, 2012 11:54 am William Dale “Will” Garner, 66, of Dresden died Friday, May 25, 2012, at his home. Visitation services will be held today (Tuesday) beginning at 9 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris. Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday) at 11 in the LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Mike Wimerbly officiating. Burial will be at Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove. Pallbearers are James Wynn, Shane Garner, Blake Garner, Brain garner, Leslie Garner and Leon Garner, Jr. Mr. Garner was born May 10, 1946, in Paris to Alvin Pleasen Garner and Ruth Beavers Garner. On April 4, 1964, he was married to Paulene VanCleave Garner. He was a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church. He retired as a heavy equipment operator after 25 years for the Weakley County Highway Department. Survivors include his wife Paulene VanCleave Garner of Dresden; a daughter, Patricia Gail Cochran of Dresden; a son, Jimmy Dale (Jennifer) Garner of Dresden; sister, Margie Ann Wynn of Trezevant; five brothers, John Garner of Paris, Charles (Barbara) Garner of Paris, Leon gGarner of Dresden, David (Harriet) Garner of Dresden, Tommy Garner of Paris; grandchildren, Jacob (Valerie) Garner, Ashlee Garner, Hunter Cochran, and Kelsey Cochran of Dresden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Pleasen Garner and Ruth Beavers Garner; sister Martha Garner; and brothers, Paul Garner and Truman Garner.
