|Sunday shooting probed by MPD

An apparent shooting Sunday evening in Martin has left one man hospitalized and the Martin Police Department searching for answers.
According to an incident report, MPD officer Timothy Dolack responded to a call for shots fired at Lakeview Circle around 10 Sunday evening.
When he arrived on the scene, Dolack reported a large crowd standing at the intersection of Lakeview Circle and Old Fulton Road. A victim, 20-year-old Joshua Price, was found laying on the street. Price told the officer he was shot in his back and he couldn’t feel his legs, according to the report.
Price was flown by Air Evac Lifeteam to Vanderbilt Hospital. His condition was unknown at press time.
During a canvas of the scene for witnesses, Dolack found three types of shell casings in the area.
According to the incident report, two 9-mm shell casings; two 380-caliber shell casings; and 10 .22-caliber shell casings were discovered at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the MPD at 587-5355.
