UC man robbed Posted: Wednesday, May 30, 2012 8:13 pm The Messenger, May 30, 2012 Union City police are investigating a man’s claim that he was stabbed and robbed Tuesday night while walking on North Second Street. Joshua Keith McGowan, 21, told police the incident occurred between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. when he was approached by two black men while he was walking behind the laundromat on North Second Street, according to a Union City Police Department report. He said one of the men grabbed him and stabbed him in the back. He said he put his arms up to protect himself and was cut on the left arm. McGowan alleged one of the men took his wallet and took out the cash, then threw the wallet on the ground. According to the report, McGowan was picked up by a motorist and driven to his home. He later went to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, where police spoke with him about 10:30 p.m. |
