The Sunday night shooting of a 20-year-old Martin man, Joshua Price, is being investigated by the Martin Police Department.
Price was discovered “laying on the ground” where a large crowd had gathered at Lakeview Circle and Old Fulton Road in Martin, according to a police report filed by Martin police officer Tim Dolack. The officer reported Price stated he had been shot in the back and couldn’t feel his legs.
The victim was transported from the scene by Air Evac and later flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. The extent of his injuries and his status today are unknown.
The incident occurred late Sunday night. Officer Dolack arrived on the scene at 10:48 p.m. During his initial investigation he interviewed witnesses, took photos of the scene and recovered 10 .22 caliber shell casings, two 9mm shell casings and two .380 caliber shell casings. The shell casings were actually found near the corner of Old Fulton Road and Smith Street.
