GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY — Jerry and Peggy Hale of South Fulton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary 2-4 p.m. June 9 with a reception at the Water Valley (Ky.) Baptist Church fellowship hall. He married the former Peggy Crittenden June 9, 1962, at the Fulton home of the Rev. Norman Crittenden, uncle of the bride, who performed the ceremony. Their attendants were the late Buford “Buff” Johnson, friend of the groom, and Barbara Alderdice, cousin of the bride. Mrs. Hale is the daughter of the late W.A. and Nadine (Newton) Crittenden of Pilot Oak, Ky. She is a retired nurse from the University of Chicago. Hale is the son of the late Eston and Olive (Bauer) Hale of Crutchfield, Ky. He retired from the Ford Motor Company. They have three sons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Janet Hale of Homewood, Ill., Aaron and Therese Hale of Crete, Ill., and Todd and Hallie Hale of Colorado Springs, Co. They have four grandchildren. All friends and relatives are invited.
