Cigarettes were stolen during a break-in early Thursday at Little General No. 8 at 302 West Main St. in Union City.
Police responded about 3:30 a.m. to a report of a front door glass being broken out at the store and officers arrived to find a door glass partially broken out, according to a Union City Police Department report.
Police spoke with an employee of Cox Oil Co. and it was determined six cartons of Newport cigarettes had been taken.
A large rock apparently was used to break out the door glass, according to the report.
