Wynridge winners
good with 8-under

The Wynridge Golf Course held its weekly scramble Thursday with the winning team shooting 8-under par.
The top team included Ross Clark, Jacob Dotson, Dale Batchelor and Vann Kissell.
One shot back and in second place after shooting 7-under par was the team of Dan Wiley, Barry Lofton, Frank Clark and Bobby Chappell.
The men’s scramble, is held each Thursday afternoon at the Troy course.

Hickman ladies’ event
produces good scores

The team of Shirley Campbell, Jacque Lethcoe, Cyndy Terrett and Evelyn Whitten combined to shoot 4-under par and take first place  in the weekly Hickman Country Club ladies’ scramble Thursday.
There was a tie for second (2-under) between a foursome made up of Wanda Brown, LeAnn Gantt, Annell Goodwin and Jackie Russell, and another consisting of Sandra Cobb, Laurie Higdon, Anne Kincade and Carol Potts.
Donna Dunn was the closest-to-the-pin on hole No. 8.
The ladies play every Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Riverside teams in line
for repeat 1A titles

Both the baseball and softball teams at Riverside will be gunning for consecutive Class A state championships today in the TSSAA Spring Fling.
The Panther baseball squad (30-6) will actually be playing for its third straight state title and in its fourth championship game in a row when it faces Eagleville. Eagleville (35-11) eliminated rural West Tennessee entry Huntingdon 11-2 on Thursday.
