UC woman reports scam

A 96-year-old Union City woman has reported a scam to the Union City Police Department.
The victim told police a caller demanded a payment of $3,000 for credit card bills or his company would take action. She said when she asked the caller for the company name and other information, the caller refused.
The resident said she has not had any credit cards for many years and is tired of receiving these phone calls.
She is receiving help through her bank, the report noted.
