Lillian Costello Posted: Tuesday, May 22, 2012 4:12 pm The Messenger, May 21, 2012 Lillian Jane Costello, 74, of Union City died 6:30 a.m. May 19, 2012, at her home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery near Union City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Ron Costello, John Costello, Allen Klump, Paul Dausman, Bob Ruzga and John Chamness. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Klump and Frank Chamness. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to David’s Chapel Baptist Church; or the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20004. Mrs. Costello was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Herrin, Ill., daughter of the late Herbert and Cova (Ables) Chamness. She married Ron “Mac” Costello Sept. 28, 1955. He survives. She attended Southern Illinois University for two years and was a retired supervisor for ECCI Electronics in Mundelein, Ill., and a homemaker. Mrs. Costello was a member of David’s Chapel Baptist Church near Hickman, Ky. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Costello Jr. and Leslea Costello of Union City; two grandsons and their spouses, Ronnie and Krista Costello and John and Jordan Costello, all of Union City; three great-grandchildren, Allison Costello and Tyler Sawyers, both of Union City, and Braden Costello of Hickman; her sister and brother-in-law, Lois and William Klump of Elkville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill Chamness.
