In McKenzie, there is a flea market located next to Rural King on Highway 79S known as MOM’s (McKenzie Outlet Mall). Beginning Wednesday and running through Saturday, there is a carnival and many things to see inside the facility. Bring your family and have a family day at MOM’s. Don’t forget to check out the vendors inside and out. Also look inside for $3 to $5 coupons for local businesses. If you need further information, call Marcy McKinney or Christine Rawls at MOM’s at 731-352-9095.
As summer approaches, it’s time to think about positive ways to influence our youth. From the very young to pre-adult, activities can and do prevent delinquency and gives our kids a better way to grow. If you do not currently have a youth in the community, you can still help by sponsoring activities that keep our kids safe.
The Sharon Library and Parks and Recreation provide many activities for the youth, but some cannot continue without your assistance. Please take the time to go to a ball game, or make a donation at city hall and tell them whom you want to sponsor and keep some of the activities for our kids continuing. Even the least amount will help. Every dollar goes to providing programs for our youth. We all watch out for the younger generation, but now it’s time to step up to the plate and sponsor the programs provided.
If you need more information about sponsoring the program, you can contact city hall at 456-2122 or Bill Bostwick at 456-2031.
If you want your information in our birthday and anniversary list, please email or call me. You will find my information at the bottom of the article. The thought for the week: “Every bad situation will have something positive. Even a dead clock shows the correct time twice a day. Stay positive in life. God knows what is best for you.” If you have a thought you would like to share with the readers, email or call, I will put it in my article. My email is email@example.com and phone number is 456-9823.
That’s all the news from the Sharon community. Remember to continue to pray for one another, our community and our military. May God have mercy on our land and bless you all.
