Graduation set for Friday night

Fifty years after the first graduating class received diplomas at Obion County Central High School, the 51st group of students will claim their own proof of successful completion of educational requirements.
Commencement is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at the OCCHS football field.
Principal Linda Crigger will welcome those attending and provide introductions of special guests.
The class salutatorian, Christina Jackson, will deliver the invocation and Chelsea Southerland, the valedictorian, will address the assembly.
Class president Chris-topher Douglas will then offer a speech.
Ms. Crigger, assistant director of schools Dale Hollowell and OCCHS assistant principal Tommy Victory will award diplomas and Hollowell will confer the diplomas.
The OCCHS band will provide music.
Honor marshals will be Allison Wicker, Rebecca Lund, Lindsay Castellaw, Rebecca Bloodworth, Bil-lie Dee Preuett, Brady Chandler, Kayla Ford, Nancy Davis, Allison Ward and Mitchell Arnett. Ushers will be Hannah Woodruff, Andrea Pickard, Zachary Tucker, Imelda Rodriguez, Tori York, Savanna Brown, Ashley Yates, Maria Guer-rero, Mary Helen Driver and Erika Alonso.
