James Madison, both of Greenfield. | | | FATHER, SON BOND – A Greenfield father and his son are currently serving together for a second time in the Middle East. Command Sgt. Major Timothy Madison (right) and his son, Sgt. James Madison, both of Greenfield, are currently serving a year-long deployment in Kuwait with the Tennessee Army National Guard’s 230th Engineer Battalion of Trenton. The deployment is in support of Operation New Dawn and Operation Enduring Freedom. This is the second deployment the Madison father-son duo have served together in the Middle East. They were previously deployed to Iraq with Company A, 1-115 Field Artillery of Lawrenceburg during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006-07. The members of the 230th Engineer Battalion departed for the Middle East in August of last year for an expected 12-month deployment. They were also joined by members of the 913th Engineer Co. out of Union City. WCP 5.31.12 | | | |
