South Fulton High School Class of 2012 begins graduation festivities on Thursday
Members of the South Fulton High School Class of 2012 will begin their graduation celebration Thursday at 7 p.m. with the annual Class Night in the SFHS gym.
Class president Haley McKinney will welcome the students and guests and class historian Kristin Morgan will present the Class Who’s Who. Taylor Archie, co-class historian, will review the class history and vice president Ronny Cox will initiate the Presentation of Gifts feature.
SFHS principal Keith Frazier, guidance counselor Pam Burrow, Dr. Mike Hawks and teacher Brandi Cantrell will be in charge of the honors program.
Miss Morgan and Miss Archie plan to present a special class video and the class will complete the evening by singing the Alma Mater.
Junior ushers for the event will include Corrisa Bettis, Grace Bruner, Tori Gammon, Mikaela Hardy, Taylor Martin, Sam Murray, Sara Reams and Alison Stem.
On Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the school gym, the class will receive their degrees in the presence of family, friends and faculty.
Miss McKinney will welcome those attending and give the valedictorian’s address, with Landon Sowell offering the salutatorian’s speech.
Frazier will be charged with the commencement address and he will be joined by Mrs. Burrow, Obion County School System Director of Schools David Huss and members of the school board in presenting the diplomas.
Miss Hardy will represent the junior class in the presentation of flowers to mark the celebration.
Huss is scheduled to complete the evening with the pronouncement of graduates.
