Completed arrangements are being announced for Merrill Eugene Thompson, 64, of Union City, who died May 14, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Private services were held at Rawls Funeral Home in Union City.
He was born June 13, 1947, in Marion, Ind., son of the late Clarence and Mary (Wise) Thompson.
He had a love for music, cooking and reading.
He is survived by two daughters, Felicia Thompson of Danville, Va., and LaTasha Thompson of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his son, Delon Thompson of Union City; six grandchildren, Cedric, Alexis, Kyle, Noelle, Gregory and Devin; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Lynnwood and Treva Thompson of Marion, Ind., DeWayne and  Lorraine Jackson of Smyrna and Richard Thompson of Detroit; four sisters, Peggy Thompson-Clariett of Norfolk, Va., Brenda Dorsey and Susie Jackson, both of Marion, Ind., and Kathy Jackson of Jackson.
