Camp deadlines nearing

Deadlines for several 4-H camps are getting near, according to Obion County University of Tennessee Extension agent Una Johnson.
The Western Region Line and Design Camp, open to all youth currently in grades 6-12, takes place on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Martin July 9-11. The cost of attending the camp is $120. The deadline for the camp is May 25, earlier than the previously publicized May 28 as the local office will be closed on that day for Memorial Day.
Obion County Junior 4-H Camp, for students completing grades four through six, is scheduled for July 9-13 at the Ridley 4-H Center. The cost of camp is $235. The deadline is June 22, but a limited number of spaces are available. Only 13 spots were unfilled as of Monday. Any students over that number will be placed on a waiting list, according to Mrs. Johnson.
