A Lake County man was arrested Wednesday in Fulton County, Ky., after deputies responded to a call of a man allegedly stealing scrap metal off the same property where two other men were arrested just four days earlier.
David R. Lynn, 45, was charged with fugitive from another state (warrant not required), first-degree first-offense possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia (buy/possess) and first-offense prescription controlled substance not in proper container, according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department.
He was arrested after the sheriff’s department received a report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Department about 10:45 a.m. indicating there was a white man allegedly stealing scrap metal off the property in the Kentucky Bend area. Lake County authorities also indicated the man had an active felony warrant from their county.
The man was located by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies and a Kentucky Fish & Wildlife officer at the end of Stepp Road after they arrived in the area to patrol in search of the man and his vehicle. He was placed under arrest on the Lake County felony warrant.
While he was being searched, authorities found a plastic container that contained a white powdery substance, some prescription medication not in its proper container and drug paraphernalia, the sheriff’s department reported.
Lynn was transported to the Fulton County Detention Center, where he was held on a $25,000 cash bond.
Once the charges in Kentucky have been addressed, he will be extradited to Tennessee to face the felony charges he has pending.
